WUI CODES AND ORDINANCES

Several cities and counties in Idaho have adopted or are considering adopting planning and zoning ordinances within Wildland Urban Interface areas or in unincorporated portions of a county. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has recently adopted new standards for land development, structural ignitibility, and water supplies. To learn more about obtaining copes of these standards, please read the following letter from the Idaho State Fire Plan Working Group:

Please check back soon as we will update this list and provide comments as to how some of these ordinances were created. If you know of a code or ordinance that is not on this list, please contact Brett Ingles at bingles@boisestate.edu or (208) 426-2844.
