- 1973-1976 /range technician firefighter (engines) in Utah for BLM.
- 1977-1981 BLM forestry technician, (engine, helitack and hotshots) Alaska. 1982-83 Geologist for BLM in Utah.
- 1984-1998 smoke jumper and air operations in Alaska.
- 1998-2004 District FMO in Carson City Nevada.
- 2004-present State Fire Management Officer in Idaho.

1974-1980 BS geology University of Utah
Most Admired Leader:
Norman Schwarzkopf because of his opinions on leadership. there is no such thing as a born leader........Most great leaders are ordinary people thrust into extraodinary circumstances. He also said, when placed in command - take charge, do what's right, not what you think the high headquarters wants or what you think will make you look good.
Hobbies and Interests:
Bird dogs, competition trapshooting, hunting, outdoors and my wife.
